So yesterday 10/13/18 was the Hollister Grape & Fall Festival an amazing event happened! At about 1pm rain started drizzling in, but since I have paper products I stayed until we were allowed to leave, and I'm glad I did. At around 2-3pm a few older women came up to my table, and I start out every interaction with "Do you like cartoons?" and this one lady said her husband did when he was younger. We continued to talk and I showed her some of the jokes on the inside of the books, and she said she wanted to buy all the books for her husband with Alzheimer's. I was floored, cause my dad had Alzheimer's and the fact that my silly comics are going to help this man like my dad makes me filled with so much joy. I'm tearing up even typing this.... So I kind of feel a new calling with Silent Sillies and I might try to reach out to the nursing homes in the area.
